Chimaev Mocks Strickland’s Threats, Confident Ahead of UFC 328
Khamzat Chimaev isn’t fazed by Sean Strickland’s threats ahead of their UFC 328 clash in Newark. The middleweight champion calls the hostile talk “clowning” and says he’s focused on proving himself where it matters. Strickland claimed he would carry a gun to protect himself during fight week. Chimaev laughed off the warning. “He didn’t shoot any chickens… how’s he going to shoot a human?” he challenged. With a perfect 15-0 record and wins over Robert Whittaker, Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns, Chimaev believes the contest is simple. “He can try whatever he wants, but it’s not going to work,” he said, aiming to silence the noise inside the Octagon.
