OGWAMA Seals Quantum Packaging in Ogun Over Alleged Illegal Dumpsite and Waste Burning

The Ogun State Waste Management Authority has sealed Quantum Packaging Nigeria Limited in Agbara, Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, over alleged environmental violations. The authority said the paper-processing firm operated an illegal dumpsite and burned waste in the open. It said the company continued improper waste disposal after receiving an earlier warning. OGWAMA said the facility will remain shut until the dumpsite is cleared and the company submits a comprehensive remediation plan. The agency warned that open burning endangers residents' health and harms the environment.
