Peter Obi and Northern Running Mate Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027, Udenta Says

As a founding national secretary of the Alliance for Democracy, he told a national TV programme that regional balance is key to building a broad-based opposition alliance. He noted Obi’s prominence in the South and stressed that choosing the right northern partner will be decisive. Udenta also warned that worsening economic conditions and public dissatisfaction with the current administration could drive voters towards the opposition. He said Nigerians will judge performance by their standard of living rather than abstract macroeconomic figures.
