Winning the Battle for Eternal Rewards: Living for God’s “Well Done”

One of the greatest battles believers face is choosing eternal rewards over temporary gains. Serving God with eternity in view brings strength for trials and faithful service. The Bible assures us of a lasting inheritance and the joy of hearing “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21). Christ endured the cross for this reward (Hebrews 12:2) and promises to return with rewards according to our works (Revelation 22:12). To live victoriously, serve with sincere motives, remain faithful in every task, endure trials with hope, and seek God’s approval above human praise. Keep your heart fixed on eternity and invest in what will last forever. Reflect: Are you living for temporary achievements, or are you faithfully serving Christ with the expectation of His eternal reward?

It feels a bit simplistic to pin all spiritual struggles on motives, while ignoring very real human weaknesses and doubts.
