Peter Obi: Aba’s Garment and Footwear Industry Can Rival Nigeria’s Oil Earnings

Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi says Aba’s garment and footwear sector could generate revenue comparable to the nation’s oil earnings if it receives proper support and management. After engaging with stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress in Aba, Obi commended Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe for the invitation and praised Governor Alex Otti’s efforts to develop the city. He also granted his first radio and TV interview of the year on Magic FM. Highlighting the need to shift from a consumption-driven economy to a production-based one, Obi stressed that competent, compassionate leadership is crucial to unlock Nigeria’s full economic potential and build a new Nigeria.
