Katsina Approves ₦3.8bn Loan to Secure 3,890 Slots for 2026 Hajj Pilgrims
The Katsina State Government has approved a ₦3.8bn loan to secure 3,890 Hajj slots for 2026. The intervention addressed earlier funding challenges through the National Hajj Commission. Governor Dikko Radda announced the loan during the official farewell ceremony. He said each pilgrim will receive a $500 allowance and have their Hadaya expenses covered. Two hundred officials will provide spiritual guidance, medical aid, and logistical support throughout the pilgrimage. The governor directed strict supervision, accountability, and discipline among all staff. Radda urged pilgrims to pray for peace and unity and to avoid spreading misinformation. He also highlighted improvements in accommodation and feeding arrangements based on his inspections.
