Sam Pharmaceuticals Opens WHO-Approved Plant in Ota Backed by FCMB and BoI

Sam Pharmaceutical Limited has commissioned a new manufacturing facility in Ota, Ogun State. The plant meets World Health Organisation Good Manufacturing Practice standards and expands local drug output. First City Monument Bank and the Bank of Industry provided over ₦6.2 billion in term loans and working capital. The facility will produce up to 400 million tablets, 50 million capsules, two million syrup bottles, and one million pouches each month. Officials say the factory will drive job creation and strengthen Nigeria’s medicine supply. The Health Minister, Ogun State Deputy Governor, and NAFDAC’s Director General praised the project’s impact on domestic pharmaceutical capacity.
