Preparations for the 23rd National Sports Festival, Coal City Games 2026, will enter a key stage as the Main Organising Committee inspects facilities and infrastructure in Enugu. The National Sports Commission delegation is expected to arrive on August 25. Inspections of competition and training venues, accommodation, transport, logistics and other support infrastructure will hold on August 26 and 27. The Local Organising Committee is scheduled to unveil the festival’s official logo and mascot on August 28. The inspection is expected to help organisers identify outstanding needs and keep preparations for the Games on schedule.
