Four Suspected Telecom Vandals Nabbed with N8m Equipment on Oyo–Ogbomoso Expressway

Police in Oyo State arrested four men suspected of stealing telecommunications power components during a routine stop-and-search at Irepo along the Oyo–Ogbomoso Expressway. The command’s spokesperson identified the suspects and said officers recovered four hybrid solar batteries worth about N8 million in an ash-coloured Toyota Sienna. During questioning, the men admitted stealing the items from a telecom facility in Offa, Kwara State. The police have secured the equipment and vehicle as exhibits, and investigations are ongoing to uncover more members of the syndicate.
