LSSTF Hands Over Patrol Vehicles and Protective Gear to Lagos Violent Crime Unit
As Lagos grows as Nigeria’s commercial hub, strong security infrastructure is vital. Today, the Lagos State Security Trust Fund donated patrol vehicles, bulletproof vests and ballistic helmets to the Lagos State Police Violent Crime Response Unit. The ceremony took place on May 15th at the Ikeja Police Command headquarters. CP Fatai Tijani formally received the equipment and praised the Trust Fund’s timely intervention. Launched by the Inspector-General of Police, the Violent Crime Response Unit operates across all states to improve rapid response capabilities. Dr. Ayodele Ogunsan reaffirmed the Trust Fund’s ongoing commitment to equipping frontline personnel with modern tools.
