Jealous Sister Guilty of Murdering Film Director and Stealing Her Rolex
A London woman has been found guilty of murdering her elder sister, a documentary filmmaker, before taking her Rolex watch. Jurors at the Old Bailey heard that homeless Nancy Pexton traveled to her sister Jennifer Abbott Dauward’s flat in Camden in June last year. She bound her sister with tape, slit her throat and fled, leaving the 69-year-old to die. Evidence included CCTV of Pexton arriving with fast food, her blood-soaked clothes, and the missing Rolex later found in her possession. Pexton claimed a blackout and blamed a drug dealer, but jurors rejected her defence. Sentencing is set for a later date.
