COAS Shaibu Urges Integrity and Discipline at Jos Easter Feast

Represented by Maj Gen Godwin Mutkut, he used the gathering to reinforce discipline and resilience across active theatres. Noting the rare overlap of Easter with Ramadan, the Army Chief described the convergence as a powerful symbol of cohesion within Nigeria’s diverse force. He paid tribute to front-line soldiers and fallen heroes, pledging continued welfare support under President Tinubu’s strategic initiatives. Maj Gen Folunsho Oyinlola praised the troops’ measured response during recent tensions in Jos and called for stronger intelligence sharing and inter-agency collaboration. He stressed that while the season is one of spiritual renewal, vigilance remains essential to protect innocent lives and uphold national sovereignty.
