Razor Blade Attack: Ghanaian Woman Allegedly Slashes Husband in Volta Region
A Ghanaian woman known as Sweety reportedly attacked her estranged husband, Martin, with a razor blade at Gbi-Avega in the Hohoe Municipality on the night of April 18, 2026. The couple had separated two weeks earlier, and Martin says he was escorting her home to collect her remaining belongings when the assault occurred. After inflicting wounds on Martin, Sweety is said to have fled on a waiting motorcycle. Martin was first taken to Ve-Kolenu Clinic but was later transferred to a hospital in Ve-Golokuati, where he received treatment and was released. The couple has two young children, aged three and one. Local authorities have launched an investigation and are working to apprehend the suspect.
