Uche Elendu Defends Baba Ijesha’s Preterm Newborn Seven Months After Release
Nollywood star Uche Elendu has fired back at critics wondering how Baba Ijesha and celebrity designer Luminee welcomed a child just seven months after his prison release. She explained that preterm births can happen well before the full nine months. Elendu also highlighted the harsh cost of living in Nigeria, noting that a basket of tomatoes now sells for ₦120,000 and a gas cylinder costs ₦28,000. She closed her remarks by congratulating the couple and wishing for a bouncing baby girl. Previously, Baba Ijesha was convicted in 2022 of raping a 14-year-old ward and served over three years behind bars. He was released in November 2025 and has since denied being a pedophile or rapist, accusing some peers of betrayal.
