The Argentine Football Association has reaffirmed its support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino after FIFA withdrew a proposed $20 billion private investment deal involving World Cup commercial rights. The plan, linked to a proposed entity called FIFA Forward Enterprise, faced strong criticism from within world football. FIFA later apologised for errors in how the proposal was handled. AFA President Claudio Tapia said the decision to withdraw the plan and acknowledge mistakes was necessary. He praised Infantino's leadership and said Argentina supports his continued presidency ahead of the next FIFA Congress.
