Help! My Opay Account Was Hacked and Funds Sent to a Kuda Account

Help! My Opay Account Was Hacked and Funds Sent to a Kuda Account

It’s been a week since my Opay balance was mysteriously transferred to a Kuda account under the name Sani Hannatu. I reached out to Opay on Twitter and was told it was under investigation, but I haven’t heard any updates. A few days earlier, I installed an app from a social media ad and noticed my phone’s touchpad started acting up. After uninstalling it, the app interface remained and my phone eventually went blind, showing only an “updating app” screen for hours. I did a factory reset, then discovered my Opay balance was gone. Does anyone know how I can get my money back? Any tips or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone else experienced a sudden Opay to Kuda transfer without explanation? What steps did you take to follow up?

Haha, I totally panicked when funds vanished. I contacted both banks and filed complaints right away.

I dey notice Opay's security alerts never mention Kuda, they usually flag unknown devices instead of transfers to other banks.

Did you get any notification when the funds left Opay and reached Kuda, or only device alerts?

You might be jumping to hacking conclusions when a simple password reset could have locked out unauthorized transfers.

Contact your bank support directly, update all login credentials, then monitor your accounts closely for any further suspicious activity.
