Houthi-Government Fighting Resumes in Yemen’s Marib and Taiz

Fighting has resumed between Yemen’s Houthi movement and Saudi-backed government forces across the Taiz and Marib fronts. Government drone strikes reportedly killed Houthi fighters and commanders near Taiz, while further strikes hit positions in the surrounding mountainous areas. The Houthis also reportedly fired ballistic missiles and drones towards Marib, damaging homes and vehicles and injuring civilians in residential areas and displacement camps. Government forces said they shot down two drones and struck Houthi positions on the city’s western front.
