Benue South APC Primary Stalls as No Officials or Voting Materials Arrive

Benue South APC Primary Stalls as No Officials or Voting Materials Arrive

Tension is rising in Benue South as the All Progressives Congress fails to kick off its senatorial primary. Across Apa/Agatu, Otukpo/Ohimini, Oju/Obi and Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo, supporters gathered early but no election officials or voting materials showed up. Party agents say there has been no word from the state leadership. An aide to leading aspirant Engr. Agidani Oloche warned that the total lack of coordination threatens the credibility of the exercise. Even police officers deployed at collation centres waited in vain for materials from Makurdi before returning to base. With no timeline or explanation from the APC Electoral Committee, stakeholders fear further disruption to the Benue South ticket.
