NBA Election Sparks Outrage as Members Lose Trust in the Association

NBA Election Sparks Outrage as Members Lose Trust in the Association

I have lost faith in the Nigerian Bar Association as a professional body. Credibility, objectivity and integrity were absent from the recent election. The so-called ECNBA seemed stacked against a fair outcome. Lawyers noted portal glitches and pre-determined processes. Many eligible voters did not cast ballots, yet results favoured the insiders. It is frustrating to see practitioners who criticise government due-process violations now defend similar flaws in their own association. A truly credible election demands transparency at every stage.

What do you think would restore trust in the NBA after this controversial election?

I agree, clear voting guidelines and independent observers would go a long way to rebuild trust in the NBA.

It's odd that all reports highlight the same glitches and a biased process, yet no one in authority has addressed those concerns publicly.

Maybe the glitches were genuine technical failures rather than deliberate manipulation, but that doesn't fully explain the predetermined processes claim.

Members should call for a transparent audit of the electoral portal logs and demand clear communication from ECNBA before accepting any results.
