Terrorists Kidnap 39 Pupils and 7 Teachers in Oyo State, Names Released
Fresh information from a political action committee reveals that armed gunmen stormed schools and nearby villages in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, abducting 39 pupils and seven teachers. The attackers also made off with four motorcycles. The affected schools are Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota Baptist Nursery and Primary School. Among those taken is Principal Rachael Alamu Folawe, who appeared in a distressing video pleading for government intervention. TYF PAC has published the identities of the children, aged between two and 16, from the Ahoro-Esinele, Yawota, Oniya and Alawusa communities. Names include Rashida Tajudeen (11), Samuel Oyedele (7) and others. The Oyo State Police Command is conducting a comprehensive forensic examination of the viral videos and has launched intelligence-driven operations with multiple security agencies. Residents are urged to avoid spreading unverified reports as the search for the victims continues.
