Oke-Ona Egba Monarch Denies Any Ties to EFCC-Wanted Halimat Tejuosho
The palace of the Osile Oke-Ona Egba has issued a statement denying rumours that the EFCC-wanted socialite, Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, is related to the traditional ruler, Oba Dr Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso. Spokesperson Sesan Bankole clarified that the suspect is not connected by blood, marriage or religion. He noted that the woman’s surname is spelled “Tejuosho” with an “H,” while the monarch’s family name is “Tejuoso” without the “H.” The statement also raised concern that search engines are spreading the misinformation. It urged prompt correction and reminded the public that another Oba Adetokunbo Tehuosho reigns as Olu of Kemta and is unrelated to Oba Tejuoso. The palace insists the record be set straight immediately.
