Tinubu Commissions New Road and Bridge in Abuja, Praises ‘Renewed Hope’ Agenda
President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the newly completed Collector Road C01 and a bridge linking the Institution and Research District in Abuja. The route now connects the Body of Benchers, Nile University and Baze University, bringing the government’s vision into tangible relief. Represented at the ceremony by Vice President Kashim Shettima, the President said the project underscores his administration’s promise to deliver on its Renewed Hope Agenda. He revealed that extensions toward RR III and other parts of the capital are already underway, aiming to cut travel time and ease congestion. The road and bridge were approved through an emergency procurement process after concerns raised by the Body of Benchers at last year’s Call to Bar. The scheme has since generated hundreds of jobs, improved safety and opened the district to new investment. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike thanked the President for removing the FCT Administration from the Treasury Single Account, which sped up funding for multiple projects. He pledged that every district, from the city to satellite towns, will continue to receive balanced infrastructure development.
