Anambra POCACOV Engages Education Commissioner Ahead of Anti-Cultism Campaign
As part of efforts to deepen collaboration on peace and responsible citizenship, the Anambra State branch of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices visited the Education Commissioner at the State Secretariat in Awka on 21 July 2026. Led by Igwe Nnaemeka Ilouno, the delegation notified the Commissioner about the upcoming visit of the Inspector-General of Police’s representative and national POCACOV coordinator. They outlined planned activities including school sensitization programmes, interactive sessions with youth groups, stakeholder engagements, media campaigns, and community outreach. The Education Commissioner praised the proactive approach to crime prevention and pledged full support for rolling out the programme in schools. POCACOV reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the Ministry to empower young people to make positive choices. POCACOV remains a flagship initiative of the Nigeria Police Force, focused on preventing cultism and social vices through advocacy, mentorship, and community partnership.
