World Cup 2026: Davies Set to Return for Canada Against South Africa

World Cup 2026: Davies Set to Return for Canada Against South Africa

Canada head coach Jesse Marsch has given a fitness update on Alphonso Davies ahead of the Round of 32 clash with South Africa. Canada face Bafana Bafana on Sunday at 9pm in Los Angeles. Davies missed all three group matches while recovering from a left hamstring strain. Marsch admitted he used Davies as a decoy to keep opponents guessing. The Bayern Munich captain is now expected to be available for selection. South Africa will also welcome back midfielder Teboho Mokoena after his one-match suspension. Stay tuned for more World Cup updates.
