Babachir Lawal Warns That Atiku Presidency Would Be Seen as Fulani Rule

Lawal, who quit the ADC over alleged flaws in its primary, said his earlier critique of Atiku drew insults and threats from Fulani supporters online. He compared this to Bola Tinubu’s presidency being viewed as a Yoruba presidency. He defended his warning as legitimate commentary on the risks he believes an Atiku presidency poses, adding that criticism should not be mistaken for an attack on an entire ethnic group.
