Seven Pupils Rescued After Terrorists Storm Borno School During NECO Exams
Security operatives have rescued seven students abducted during Monday’s attack on Lassa Day Secondary School in Askira/Uba LGA of Borno State. Suspected ISWAP terrorists struck around 9am while pupils were sitting their NECO exams. Witnesses say the attackers arrived on motorcycles, fired sporadically and seized several students along with women selling food on the school premises. A joint team of the Army, Police and local Civilian Joint Task Force led the rescue operation. State authorities confirmed the recoveries and say search efforts are ongoing to free other captives and secure the area.
