Osimhen Aims to Earn University Degree After Football to Inspire Youth
Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen says he plans to return to university after retiring from football. He told Instablog TV that while football taught him many life lessons, a degree would be an amazing personal goal. He pointed out that playing careers usually last only 20 to 25 years, so education remains vital. As the 2023 African Player of the Year, he wants to set an example for young people facing financial or personal challenges. He encouraged those who dropped out to know it’s never too late to go back to school. Born in Lagos and raised in Olusosun, Osimhen sold sachet water to support his family. He rose through Ultimate Strikers Academy, starred at the 2015 U-17 World Cup, and has played for Wolfsburg, Lille, Napoli and now Galatasaray.
