How Police Detention Kept TikToker Peller off a Deadly Road Trip Before His Wedding
Popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, says four days in police custody may have saved him from a fatal crash weeks before his wedding. He was arrested in Lagos for allegedly driving without a number plate and spent several days in a cell. During that time, his friend Sam Larry’s car collided with a trailer on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Sam survived but tragically lost his bodyguard. On a recent podcast, Peller explained he was meant to ride with Sam Larry to a hotel visit the day of the accident. He also revealed police officers allegedly pressured him to delete video evidence of their encounter. Peller and his fiancée have set their wedding date for August 1, 2026.
