Woman in Her 20s Arrested in Kent for False Gang Rape Allegation on Facebook

A woman in her twenties was arrested after claiming on Facebook that four men in tracksuits sexually assaulted her in Milton Recreation Ground, Kent. No direct report reached the police and officers found no evidence the attack took place. Swale District Commander Chief Inspector Vanessa Foster said the force treats all such allegations seriously and launched inquiries based on the social media post. Those responsible were identified and interviewed. The woman was arrested on suspicion of wasting police time and has been released on bail while investigations continue.
