Man Arrested in Anambra After Allegedly Stealing Car Parked at Bank

A man identified as Chimezie Eze was apprehended in Nkpor, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State after he was allegedly caught with a vehicle reported stolen from a bank premises. According to a friend of the vehicle owner, he spotted the car near Nkpor Junction while rushing to the bank after receiving a call about the theft. He said he blocked the vehicle, prompting the driver to divert and flee. The chase reportedly ended after the vehicle ran out of fuel. The suspect allegedly tried to escape on a commercial motorcycle but was stopped by residents and taken to Nkpor Central Security operatives. The vehicle and suspect are expected to be handed over to the police for investigation.
