Italian midfielder Jorginho says he left Arsenal in summer 2025 after losing his passion under Mikel Arteta’s management. He joined Flamengo on a free transfer until July 2028, explaining he needed to “feel alive and important” and wanted to enjoy playing again. Jorginho made 79 appearances for Arsenal but started only 27 matches. He also criticised Arteta’s heavy focus on set pieces, calling it “boring homework” that sacrifices beautiful football.
