Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, will preach at London’s Lambeth Palace on Thursday, March 19. This sermon is part of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom. Lambeth Palace, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s official residence, highlights the religious and diplomatic importance of this engagement. According to an Agence France-Presse itinerary, Mrs Tinubu will also meet Church of England representatives during her London stay. She and President Tinubu arrived on Tuesday via Stansted Airport. Their packed schedule includes meetings with King Charles III, Labour leader Keir Starmer, and members of the Nigerian diaspora. This state visit marks Nigeria’s first official engagement with the UK in nearly 40 years. It aims to deepen political, economic, and cultural ties between both nations. Mrs Tinubu is an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
