Military Detains Herder’s Father After Farmer Assault in Barkin Ladi
Troops from Sector 4 of Operation Enduring Peace arrested the father of a herder accused of attacking farmer Isah Ahmad in Barkin Ladi, Plateau State. The clash occurred on Thursday, May 28, at Hai Kurra Fall when the farmer resisted attempts to graze cattle on his land. The herder fled after injuring Ahmad, who was later taken to Makoli Village medical facility. During follow-up operations, security forces apprehended the suspect’s father, Mr. Umar Abdullahi, and recovered three Boxer motorcycles in the village. Efforts continue to locate and arrest the fleeing herder.
