Why Is My Campus Customer Tipping Me Extra After I Braved Her Lecturer’s Class?

I run a food delivery service on campus and there’s a loyal customer who always orders in class. One day I was late because I had other deliveries and her food got cold. When I finally arrived, her class was in session with a strict male lecturer at the door. I gathered courage, entered the room, greeted him politely, handed her the meal, and left. She messaged me right away to say she admired my courage. Since then she’s been adding an extra ₦1,000 to my delivery fee each time and has encouraged her friends to tip me more. Why is she doing this?

What do you think made her decide to tip extra after you walked into that strict-class session?

Did you notice anything specific she said when she handed you that extra tip?

I doubt the strict class had much sway. Maybe she was simply impressed by how you handled yourself today, not by the lecture itself.

It seems like she appreciated your effort more than the timing of the order.

You risked a lot by interrupting a strict professor's class; next time plan around her schedule to avoid similar rush.

Maybe set up a quick text alert system so she knows if you're delayed and both of you avoid cold meals.
