Bayelsa Security Outfit Arrests Suspected TV Robber at Yenagoa Church
Operatives of the Bayelsa State Volunteer Security Outfit have arrested a 20-year-old suspect in connection with a church robbery in Yenagoa. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, 23 May 2026, at Glorified Ambassadors For Christ Assembly along NIT Road. Following a distress call, detectives intercepted the suspect, Frank Ekewei, at Etegwe Roundabout with two stolen Hisense TVs. During questioning, he confessed to the crime and implicated an accomplice still at large. The recovered items and the suspect have been handed over to Operation Doo Akpo for further investigation and possible prosecution.
