Pentecostal Churches Must Rethink How They Ordain Pastors
I am concerned by how many people today are being ordained as pastors without a genuine calling. Many churches, especially RCCG, seem to appoint anyone with money or influence. This practice has led to cases where individuals involved in crime or corruption hold pastoral titles. Scripture warns against this. John 2:16 condemns a marketplace in God’s house, and 1 Timothy 5:22 urges us not to lay hands on anyone hastily. Church leaders should ensure that pastoral ministry remains a sacred office reserved for those truly called by God.
