Woman Forced to Tattoo Ex’s Name 250 Times Shares Dramatic Removal Journey
A 52-year-old woman in Rotterdam says her partner coerced her into tattooing his name, initials and phrases like “property of” on her face and body about 250 times between 2020 and 2021. She claims the cheap machine he bought online left nearly 90% of her skin covered without her real consent, a claim he denies. After their breakup she went to the police, but no charges followed because he insisted she agreed to every session. Determined to reclaim her life, she launched a fundraiser to cover the ₤25,000 laser removal process. With professional help, she’s already removed most tattoos from her face and hopes to be ink-free by year’s end. Reflecting on her recovery, she says, “Someone who has been deeply hurt can rise again.”
