Plymouth’s Owen Oseni Thrilled by Maiden Super Eagles Call-Up
Owen Oseni has expressed his excitement after earning his first Super Eagles invitation for the 2026 Unity Cup and upcoming friendlies against Poland and Portugal. The 23-year-old Plymouth Argyle striker caught coach Éric Chelle’s eye with a strong finish to the League One season, scoring ten goals in 33 games after joining from Scotland. Qualifying for Nigeria through his father, Oseni admits he was “in disbelief” at representing a nation of over 240 million people. He says he’s determined to repay the faith shown in him on the international stage.
