IAUE Unveils Okey Onuchukwu Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies
Prof. Okechukwu Onuchukwu marked his 60th birthday by donating freewill gifts to Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. He used the funds to build and furnish a state-of-the-art home for the new Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies. On June 17, 2026, the university’s Governing Council, Senate and Management gathered alongside the Pro-Chancellor and other dignitaries for the unveiling and handover ceremony. The building was officially named the Okey Onuchukwu Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies in recognition of this generous gift. Guests offered goodwill messages and applauded the Acting Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to giving back and promoting peace studies at IAUE.
