Morocco Coach Acknowledges France’s Superiority After 2026 World Cup Quarter-Final

Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi admitted that France were the better side after a 2-0 quarter-final defeat at Boston Stadium. Kylian Mbappe overcame an early penalty miss to score and later set up Ousmane Dembele’s goal as the two-time champions advanced. Ouahbi praised France’s quality and highlighted his team’s resilience. He noted that goalkeeper Yassine Bounou kept Morocco in the match with a penalty save. Despite the loss, Ouahbi expressed confidence in Morocco’s future and vowed to build squad depth for coming tournaments. The coach said the team represents fans across Africa and Asia. He promised to work harder to bring more success and chase international silverware in years ahead.
