Gunmen Kidnap Ogun Farmer, Demand ₦500m Ransom
Oreoluwa Osunuga, son-in-law of veteran journalist Ayo Akinyemi, was reportedly kidnapped on Sunday afternoon in Ikenne, Ogun State. Osunuga, who runs a farm settlement in the town, was said to be driving from the farm to buy fuel and deliver poultry products when gunmen attacked and took him away. His 2017 Toyota Highlander was reportedly abandoned and later recovered by police. The kidnappers allegedly contacted his family through his phone and demanded ₦500 million ransom. Ogun State Police Commissioner Bode Ojajuni confirmed the incident and said efforts were under way to rescue the victim.
