Hashtag United Seek Voluntary Drop From Isthmian League
Hashtag United have formally asked to leave the Isthmian League Premier Division. They currently sit 19th, one place above the relegation zone. The club says the move is purely administrative and no contracts will be cut against anyone’s wishes. The Isthmian League has confirmed receipt of the request but notes only the FA can make a final call. Normally a midseason resignation counts as relegation, with the team fourth from bottom saved from the drop. Founded by YouTuber Spencer Owen in 2016, Hashtag United started as a social media project. They entered non-league football in 2018, earned three promotions and added a women’s side in 2020.
