Adeleke Says His Support for Tinubu Is Based on Yoruba Identity and Development Projects

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke says his support for President Bola Tinubu is not tied to any agreement with the Federal Government or a plan to return to the APC. Speaking on a political programme, Adeleke said his support is partly because Tinubu is Yoruba and because he wants the President to continue ongoing development projects. He urged the Federal Government to extend road projects to Osun, noting that several federal roads connect the state to other parts of the country. Adeleke said he is willing to work with Tinubu’s allies in Osun if their activities support the President. However, he maintained that joining the APC is not currently on his agenda. The governor also said he is seeking political solutions to disputes linked to his administration, including the local government crisis and issues involving some detained supporters.
