JIBWIS, Muslim World League to Hold Security Conference in Abuja, Aug 11–13
Jama’atu Izalatil Bidiah wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) Nigeria and the Muslim World League will hold an international conference on national security and sustainable socio-economic development in Abuja from 11 to 13 August 2026. The conference is scheduled for the International Conference Centre and is expected to bring together Islamic scholars, policy experts, security professionals, government officials and international delegates. President Bola Tinubu is expected to declare the event open. Sessions will focus on security, religious and cultural diversity, social harmony, countering extremism, community resilience and partnerships for development. Organisers say the forum aims to promote peaceful coexistence and practical cooperation across communities.
