I recently read a front-page report about a burial in Abia State and it got me thinking. Is the South East gradually becoming a region of cemeteries? When my cousin traveled from Calabar to Umuezeinyi for a friend’s burial, all he saw were empty buildings and graves. Many compounds showed no signs of life.
