Sanwo-Olu Commends Rescue of Ogbomoso Schoolchildren, Credits Tinubu’s Security Drive
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has applauded the safe recovery of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on May 15. He says the operation, which came 55 days after the kidnapping, demonstrates President Bola Tinubu’s resolve to protect Nigerians and tackle insecurity. The governor praised the collaborative work of the Nigerian Army, Air Force, DSS, Police and other security agencies in securing the victims’ release. He also extended solidarity to Governor Seyi Makinde and residents of Ogbomoso, noting that the successful operation has restored hope to families across the Southwest and the nation. “I commend the tireless efforts and resilience of our gallant security operatives,” Sanwo-Olu said. “I rejoice with the people of Oyo State, particularly residents of Ogbomoso, on this great news.”
