EFCC Arrests Edo Man Over Alleged $1,100 Sextortion of Indian Woman
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested Odigie Moses in Ekpoma, Edo State over an alleged sextortion scheme involving an Indian woman. According to the EFCC, Moses allegedly claimed on the Zelle platform that he possessed spiritual healing powers. The woman reportedly contacted him while seeking help for life-threatening challenges. Investigators said he allegedly persuaded her to take a nude “spiritual bath”, recorded her without consent, and demanded money to keep the video from being released. The agency said she paid $1,100 before his arrest. The EFCC said he will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
