Former Barcelona defender and Ajax legend Ronald de Boer believes Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has the pace, strength and technique to become a useful attacking option for Ajax. Arokodare joined the Dutch club on a season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers and scored in a pre-season win over FC Volendam. De Boer said his speed could be especially effective when Ajax break quickly on the counter-attack. The 6ft 6in forward is still waiting for his competitive debut after remaining on the bench in Ajax's 3-1 UEFA Conference League win over Shelbourne. He will hope to earn a chance soon as Ajax's Eredivisie campaign continues.
