Victor Boniface Eyeing Return for Bremen’s North German Derby Against Hamburg

Werder Bremen coach Daniel Thioune says Victor Boniface is back in training and could feature against Hamburg this weekend. Boniface has been sidelined since December after a knee injury in training. The Nigeria international resumed team sessions this week and is in contention before the season ends. Thioune told local media that no player is ruled out and he will assess Boniface in the final training ahead of the derby. The 25-year-old forward has two assists in 11 Bundesliga games since joining on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
