Police Rescue Nine Victims in Ogun Travel Scam Bust
The Ogun State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit freed nine foreign nationals and arrested two suspects in Owode Egba. The syndicate lured victims with promises of travel to Europe. DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed that suspects Stephen Kwame and Abubakar Sulaimon held the victims for ransom. One victim paid ₦31,000 before the rescue operation. Commissioner CP Bode Ojajuni praised the officers’ professionalism. He urged everyone to verify international travel agents and shared emergency contact numbers for reporting suspicious activity.
